This treatment is used to treat Cold Sores. Cold Sores can be passed on through physical contact, such as kissing or oral sex however can also be spread indirectly, such as sharing drinks through straws or glasses or eating with the same utensils. They appear as pus-filled blisters, which will then leave small lesions on the lips and mouth area when burst. Aciclovir is an antiviral treatment and helps to fight the herpes simplex virus.
